Chartis to return to AIG brand

It is just over a month since I introduced myself to you as the new leader of Chartis South Africa and I am really excited about the opportunity we have to work together and support your business.
As we look to work closer with you and your team, I will look to share with you news and developments at Chartis on a regular basis.
Last week we told employees of our plans to rebrand a number of American International Group Inc. (AIG) businesses, including Chartis, to AIG.
While we have not yet officially rebranded, Chartis will return to the AIG name this October.

I felt it important to reach out to you as you hear this important news and to provide additional information about the change.
The decision to rebrand follows research conducted with our customers and partners from around the world. Many of you told us that a unified brand strategy using one brand name is the best way to communicate that we are a seamless organization with unmatched product breadth and geographic reach.
We also believe that by going to market under one powerful brand with a long history of success around the world, we will have even greater marketplace impact and become a much stronger franchise – and as a result be able to provide even more value to you and all of our stakeholders. Once we make the change, you will see the AIG brand re-introduced in advertising, marketing materials, and signage.
This is an exciting time for AIG. The rebranding effort builds on many improvements we have made to our business in recent years. This continuing evolution builds a franchise whose value to you, as our business partner, increases by the day.
I would like to thank you personally for your loyalty and partnership. Your commitment has allowed us to continue developing and providing solutions that help all of our customers protect what they value. I would also like to reaffirm that we’ll continue to deliver the strong service, solutions, and expertise you have come to expect from our company.

The last major event under the Chartis banner in South Africa will be when we celebrate our 50th anniversary in August.
